Keith Marshall
Keith Marshall has held a number of board directorship roles over the years. In previous ‘lives’ he has owned Thrifty Rental Cars NZ, managed the last nationwide health reforms that created DHBs, and participated in the NZ-China FTA negotiations. About a third of his career has been in the private (corporate) sector.
Most recently, Keith has been the Chief Executive at Oamaru Hospital, thereby being familiar with the history and issues facing the hospital. Previously, he has also been the General Manager at Wairarapa Health and Masterton Hospital, and was instrumental in creating the NZ Blood Service. In addition, he is a long-time public-sector senior manager having held Chief Executive roles in local government in Buller District, Napier, Nelson and Hamilton City Councils and has also held various contracted temporary senior roles such as being the deputy Director of the Human Rights Commission, Chief Executive of Grow Wellington and Deputy Chief Executive of NZQA.
Keith’s Mum lives in Oamaru and, accordingly, he feels that he knows the town well.
